THE 6th Global Wireless Summit (GWS -2018) CHIANG RAI, THAILAND.

November 25 – 28, 2018, Chiang Rai, Thailand

About GWS

The 6th Global Wireless Summit (GWS -2018) and the 21st International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC- 2018) will be jointly held in Chiang Rai, Thailand from November 25 - 28, 2018; as part of the celebrations of MFU’s 20th anniversary. The theme of this year’s conference is “Body and Mind Integration through Information and Communication Technology”. Both these events are co-hosted by CTIF Global Capsule (CGC) and Mae Fah Luang University (MFU).
The GWS is the world's largest annual international conference on wireless techno-business modelling. It encapsulates the raw high-end technology and study of current market and trends to create and nurture future Businesses. GWS looks to help businesses in strengthening their business models, business model innovation and technology with the aim to create, capture, deliver, receive and consume new techno-business model ecosystems through cross-/inter-disciplinary research and collaboration. Some of the important interest areas are Human Bond Communication, Chitt-Kaya Nivesh Sthaan (CNS) - Home for Mind and Body and Multi-Business Model Innovation and Technology (MBIT).
The WPMC symposia series were inaugurated in 1998, as a global platform which aims at enabling collaboration in the field of wireless information. Held in Asia, Europe and America, WPMC has established itself as a unique global conference dedicated to wireless multimedia convergence. Continuing the series, the 21st WPMC will bring together academia, industries and standardization bodies to explore activities, trends and future challenges towards ICT globalization for health and wellness issues in existing and future wireless technologies.
A key emphasis of this year's conferences is borderless smart society - bridging across industries, public and private companies, universities, research labs, and other knowledge societies in exploration of the newest wireless technologies pursuing new ways of living as well as innovative and sustainable solutions for the future.

We look forward to receive your contributions and to see you at the joint conference of GWS-2018 and WPMC-2018.

Things to Do in Chiang Rai

The city of Chiang Rai, Thailand was founded in the year 1262 and is one of the hottest tourist destinations in Thailand nowadays and it is perfect for winter getaways. Cool air and chill atmosphere are what we need during the conference period.

The City is filled with history and tradition, yet the city doesn’t boast an obvious Old Town appearance. Chiang Rai tourist attractions are located throughout the city center – and just beyond the city limits. Chiang Rai sightseeing isn’t limited to specific sights, but also includes experiences. Chiang Rai city is a relatively small town but is surprisingly popular with tourists, both Thai and western. While the center city itself is small, the country areas of the province are huge. Most package tours normally include a few days in Chiang Rai, probably because it’s a very pretty town surrounded by countryside and mountains.

Besides beautiful scenery, there are many fun and interesting things to do and see in the province. When to compare to Phuket, Pattaya and Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai is less well-known. Normally tourists would be thinking at first arrive it was so small that it would probably be boring and dull. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. It’s certain that the level of excitement in Chiang Rai is less than those of top Thailand’s tourist destinations. However, the diversity of landscape, nature and culture make Chiang Rai more interesting.

One or two days really wasn’t enough to do everything most tourists want to do, many tourist would think they have to take a return trip there later to explore more about Chiang Rai. Chiang rai is the ideal place for winter for many reasons. Out of all the things to see and do in and around Chiang Rai though, there are 10 top places you really shouldn’t miss during winter.
