He also taught at Universities of \u00c9vora and Coimbra, and the Nancy\u2019s School of Mines (where he got a Full Professor position in 2010). He is a former member of LAMSADE, INESC-Coimbra, LORIA and DIMACS research centers. Professor Figueira is the co-editor of the book, \"Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis: State of the Art Surveys, Springer, 2016 (2nd Edition). He currently serves as a coordinator of the European Working Group on Multiple Criteria Decision Aiding. He is Associate Editor of JMCDA, member of editorials of EJOR and belongs to the advisory board of other scientific international journals.
